Dave...

You're correct. Unless you need to create a pdf file you don't need
the full version.

I have Acrobat reader v5 and I just printed page 1 with no problem
using file/print. (Don't need the chart and didn't want to print the
whole file). I have a HP Laserjet 4L.

One problem I had is acrobat reader when loaded automatically in the
browser would produce an error in shutdown, (I think it was "error in
accord32.dll" or something like that.) When loaded from the browser
the accord 32 app is also loaded and stays in memory. Not sure what
it does, but you don't need it according to PC WORLD.

That is Acrobats default - to load in the browser window.

I solved the error by loading acrobat directly and changing the
default by going to EDIT/PREFERENCES. Uncheck the "Display PDF in
Browser" checkbox. Close acrobat.

>From now on when you click on a pdf file on a web site, you will get
a choice to open the file (which will load acrobat and display the
file) or you can save to disk.

The difference is it will not load the accord32 app.

Maybe that will help.
