Brian,

Sure, you can learn a new swing. Just takes an hour or two of practice to
get started. Am guessing, but too high a trajectory like yours can be the
result of an early release and, maybe, almost a reverse pivot. You need to
get your wrists cocked with the back of your left wrist almost flat and
almost vertical. When you start your downswing, start it with the weight
shift, uncoiling your hips. Keep your head behind or even with the ball. Aim
the butt end of the club at the ball and hold the wrist cock. Make a good
follow through. See if that works. It might take a while on the practice tee
to get the feel for it. The longer you can hold the wrists cocked, the more
speed you'll build up. By uncoiling the body in front of the hands, you pull
the head closed enough to deloft the shot a bit and hit a draw.

The Catapults unfortunately are only delofted from about the 7-iron to the
PW. So the long irons are about the same lofts as any other set, but
considerably more offset....which should help straighten your slice a bit.
Don't think these need any weight bias with all that offset. If you need the
distance on your mid and long irons, I'd use graphite shafts a bit
overlength, say 1/2". Maybe something like Apache PM-30 Lights about A-2.
But, the Catapults play very well with inexpensive steel shafts, too. I used
Elta's stepless steel Supreme Gold R softstepped on a 3/8 inch slope instead
of 1/2 inch and it worked out pretty well for me in the short irons, 8-SW.
My graphite shafted Chicago 944C long and mid irons hit the ball farther, so
I use them.

There are some other delofted heads to look at. My list included the Avocet
from Mirage, the GV Back and KS Tour from Diamond Tour, and the PS Series 3
from Streamline...all with 43-44 PWs. If you find any others with low
offset, let me know.

Bernie
