2.54 cm does indeed equal 1 inch.
But going the other way -- which you both were:
10 mm = 1 cm = .394 inch
Oh no, I'm soooo confused. Now, I even doubt my hand held conversion calculator! Usually use a ruler with both systems on it. Nobody asks for a 100mm extension in their driver so they can get more distance, a grip that's enlarged by 5 mm. Just make it hit far and throw on an extra wrap of tape.
