I use Outlook (full version) and it has a pretty robust system for filtering.  You can do much of the same with Outlook Express, but it's a little more tedious.  If you click on a  spam note, then select Message, Block Sender, it adds it to your blocked sender list, but you've already figured that out.  You can also select create mail rule which gives you a bunch of options for setting up specific words in the subject line to filter.  I routinely filter words like mortgage, increase size, etc.  The next thing you can do is to filter entire domains.  A lot of the spam I get comes from domains other than .com.  You can pretty well be sure that you won't get any real mail from .ru or hotlatinas.com, so enter the entire domain in your blocked list.  It's a whole lot easier to edit in Outlook, but you can get to the same place with Outlook Express.

Also...the idea of moving the spam to a junk folder is a good one.  That way you can check it once a day or so, and quickly scan to see if you've caught one you didn't intend to.  Then just CTRL-A to select all and delete them to keep the junkbox cleared out.  For a while I was blocking all of yahoo.com because the spammers were spoofing yahoo addresses.  Caught a few of my friends, but since I used the junk folder, I could recover them before deleting the spam.  Hope this helps.

Has everything been quiet out there? Lately I have been bombarded with "JUNK" mail and hardly any shoptalk threads. I have been averaging approx. 75 pieces of mail a day and 72 of those have been JUNK. My block sender list is about a mile long but they are still getting thru. I use outlook express, is there another way of getting rid of this SHIT? Pardon my French!
Now to the important question. I am seriously thinking of attending a school to learn how to give golf instructions during the first week of November, any suggestions? It must be somewhere warm with something for my Wife and two children to have a fun vacation, while I spend my days in school. TIA
