The Golfsmith catalog contains some interesting diagrams that show the
differences for PUREd shafts for 0 handicappers and 20 handicappers. The toe
bob phenominum shows up mainly in the higher handicappers, as you suggested
previously. I often show my customers these diagrams. However, the real
clincher is when you put the shaft into a vice and simply twang it.
