I made a couple of fairway woods last year using the Golfworks Trouble Out Fairway heads. Took them to Pinehurst to visit my folks last spring with the intention of trying them out. Before I had a chance to really try them, my parents tried them and loved them (my father has been searching a long time for a fairway wood he could hit well) so being the good son I let them keep them. Mom and Dad would actually fight over who got to take them out on any given day. They eventually made another set so they could each have one.
I just purchased a set of these heads since they were being closed out and I needed a winter project to make me look forward to the return of warm weather in Chicago. The heads are designed to get the ball up quickly. However, I would like to keep any type of ballooning effect down. Would it make sense to try a shaft that supposedly promotes a low launch angle (I just got the Golfsmith 2003 catalog and one of the characteristics they list for shafts is launch profile) with these heads? Or would this be counter productive and fit in the category of "what on earth are you thinking boy"?

Those of you who have built these, what shaft have you found to work well with them?

Thanks,
