John,

Typically, my senior bunch will order the one they need the most to try (or
they'll demo it at the range). If it plays well for them, they will almost
always buy the whole set...for the women, including a 9W. Most senior women
and many men have given up on long irons and their longest iron in the bag
is either a 4, or more often, a 5-iron. I'd say I typically have a few more
requests for 15° 3Ws, almost as many 5Ws and about half as many 7Ws and 9Ws.
Last year I was even asked to make two 11Ws...unusual for a hobbyist
clubmaker like me.

This year, the young guns who play with my son, were ordering 13° Cydonia
LCG fairway drivers (they already had a 3W, and 5W), because at 45" they
could hit them high and long off the fairway and get home on par-5s, or they
could play them off the tee on shorter holes requiring more accuracy.
