The club pro's assistant cut 1 1/2" off the butt of a Next driver and told me that the section he cut off had an inner diameter "just about the size of a pencil." The wall thickness was "huge."
All he remembered was that it was a UST shaft. Has anybody ever seen anything like that?
The driver originally belonged to a mini-tour player who crushes his drives (if the guy could putt he would be on the PGA tour).
