Anyway got to thinking does a long ferrule have the same effect as lengthening the hosel and bore of a club ?NO. Do they have enough rigidity to make a measurable difference to shaft frequency ?NO. Should there be a level of factoring for this length and rigidity ?NO.
Most also say that the ferrule also doesn't cause a change in swingweight. They are most likely right but, I use a scale and take ferrule weight into account.
