Sandpiper is a pretty enjoyable course.  Calabash leaves a lot to be desired.  When I played it last year, the greens were in poor shape and the drainage was poor.

Subject: ShopTalk: MB recommendations, please

A coworker is headed for Myrtle Beach this summer and has asked me to
exercise my considerable influence (cough, cough) with you fine people
(cough, cough) to come up with some good places to play.

He'll only be able to play 2 or 3 times and he'll be playing with a
late-teens 10 hdcp and a mid-30s duffer. He's a 6 hdcp.

Recommendations for enjoyable courses that are good for a wide range of
abilities greatly appreciated. More reasonably priced tracks are even

more

appreciated.

Burgess,
I'm heading down to MB on July 4th for a week or so. I've been checking
around for courses like this, and, I've seen a few of them recommended a
number of times.

One is Possum Trot in North Myrtle Beach. A few others were Eastport Golf
Club, The Wizard, Sandpiper Bay, and, Calabash Golf Links. I've checked
them out at myrtlebeachgolf.com and golfdesk.com . They all seem to fit the
bill for me. I'll probably choose the ones closest to my condo.
