was given a Northwestern 'NW-1' pitching wedge and asked to replace a broken graphite shaft. When I removed the piece of shaft from the hosel I discovered that it appeared to be taper tip. The broken shaft is an Acculite Plus Lightweight Graphite and according to the shaft band it is R flex and was assembled for Northwestern in Canada.
Although there is a (small) selection of taper tip graphite shafts which I could use, I would like to replace it with a shaft matching the original. I was unable to find Northwestern on the web and I would appreciate any help in locating one of the Acculite shafts. TIA..... Bob Dixon
Bob,
These are at the bottom end of the scale, in other words, cheap and probably made of pot metal. If it is a taper I would bore it out to parallel and install an Aldila VX. The owner will remember the fine job that you did and maybe order a decent set of irons from you in the future.
