Yes... :o)

Also,- do you (all) enjoy, what is left of your civil liberties?

Better be prepared to defend them. They are "disposable", via such means
as the DMCA etc....

The RIAA and the MPAA "are a force to be wary of".
In other words, - just too damned powerful!
I cannot find printable words, to speak about their ethics.

Look out for yourselves and each other.
I am a Canadian, and wish we had some of the legal protection here, that
you still have, in the U.S.... :o)
So far.......

Maybe not yet, but perhaps if a club "looks like" or "works like," or the
name "sounds like" another, maybe you should beware.

Oh wait, - isn't that a problem now?

(I am not advocating outright copying, - not even close! I just think
there is a limit to the bullying.)

RK, I share your concern. Not everyone here will, but I suppose that is
life. We are free to choose - still...... So far.......
I think...... :o(

I have avoided RIAA/big label music for some time now, - and will boycott
them even more, now they have shown their "colors".
Why am I a criminal, if I want to play my CD's on my computer? Same for
DVD's. Especially, if I want to use Linux.
What about the *copyright levy* we pay on blank recording media? Does
that not *pay* for something????
I understand you, in the States also pay this, some more than others. Why
is that? I understand there is a levy of about $1 US on every music
CD-R. For what?
I hate it (the levy) because I almost exclusively record backups, of my
legally owned and obtainded Linux file system. I also make mix tapes &
CD's of music I *purchased*. Does that make me a criminal? Why am I
treated like one?
Here, (in Canada) a CD still costs about $25 Cdn. Pretty rediculous,
considering the real costs, and what the artists actually receive as
payment (in the end). Who gets the majority of that money? The same
people who call *us* pirates! (major music labels, and the RIAA, and
perhaps others).....

It's much cheaper, and just as good, to simply not buy music, and just
listen to the radio when you want it.

If the RIAA is concerned why they are losing sales, - perhaps they aught
to consider that some of us are *BOYCOTTING* them! And with damned good
reason!

- Sorry about the rant, - but this just gets me so steamed.......
                                              :-{
                           (trying to look angry)....
(but not at you Jents) :o)
