I'll build a drying rack now.
Good! Here are some easy tips on building your rack.
The upper part (also can be mounted on edge of benchtop or near gripping station) consists of a length of 1 X 2. Take two lengths and clamp together on narrow edge.
Mark the edge joint line at 1.5" centers and drill through at each mark a 1" dia. hole. Unclamp and your done. Mount on warr or benchtop edge by drilling and counter sinking in the "bottom of "U" shaped holes about 8-10' centers. Screw to mounting area.
Lower part is a 5" wide shelf with a 2" high ledge on the front edge to keep heads from sliding forward.
OR
The lower part is replaced by a "hot box".
A similar rack can be utilized for shafts which are prepped and are in order (numerical) for assembly.Tips up so they can be easily be wiped with acetone (without removing from rack) before epoxy is applied. Mine is free standing so each job is in order and ready for assembly.
Another handy rac is for heads made by mounting "pegs" of disgarded shaft tips (all same length) epoxied into holes in a piece of 2X8. Each peg is numbered (at the base) with club number. Never install 7 iron on 6 iron shaft!
Hope this helps.
