Second was "how can one accurately mark and place the shaft in position?" The answer to the first is still debatable. The answer to the second is, presumably, that you can't. I agree with you that until there's some empirical evidence to prove the point, spine location is essentially meaningful as a selling tool. Theoretically its a fascination subject.
