I have SpamGuard, Ad-Aware Pro, Norton Firewall and Virus, which I update weekly, PopUp Blocker, and my ISP's spam blocker, as well as Google's spam and popup blocks.

Today I rec'd 38 emails. 27 of them were spam, including two that said they were from "Mail Subsystem, Failed Delivery," and two that said "Virus found but not cleaned." I don't open any of them. Now, here's the rub; SpamGuard claims to allow only messages from my address book folks, so called "white messages" ( a rather unfortunate term, I think), yet all this crap still comes through. I've run every virus scan I can think of and can find nothing. I suspect one or more of the folks in my address list may have been infected at some time, thus my address has been found by spammers. I don't know enough about this stuff but that seems logical. Further, every time I send an email, its scanned for viri by Norton, with negative results.

I can't put any more condoms on so I just continue to highlight and delete.

Its a damn shame.

Subject: ShopTalk: Strange e-mails

Are any of you getting e-mails claiming to be from Clubmaker Online and e-mails stating that e-mails were being returned that you didn't send?  Also e-mails claiming that a virus infected your computer.  I have a fairly sophisticated antivirus package and I don't believe that I have a virus.  Just curious.
