David, Yes the Stealth 70s are stiff relative to their marked flex. I should have mentioned that. In most shafts I play with an "R" (whatever "R" means :-) and the Stealth 70s are an "A".
I've found that Penley's tech staff does a good job in suggesting a shaft flex.

I have a set of forged Stiletto irons in Stealth 70's and I agree with you, they are probably the best gr. iron shafts I have ever hit.
I found them to be stiffer than almost any others, as I recall I soft stepped that set using R's and they came out above just about everybody else's S's.
The IMS's never really blew my dress up, most guys wanting that heavy of a shaft need a real stiff build ala John Daly who played them and they were softer than the Stealth's.
Go figure.
