WELL GUY'S have I got some news for you, yes the SENIOR TOUR IS SAFE, I
went out in my back yard yestrday, the 12th hole here at SEA GULL GC and
attempted to hit 3 brand new golf balls. Teed up the first ball all by my
lonesome, then preceeded to attempted to hit it. Well I hit it all right,
in fact I hit the ball about a 150+ yards, but in doing so I lost my
balance, which I really don't have much of now a days anyway's and preceeded
to fall right on my very large butt. The only thing difference between
this attempt to hit the ball(s) and my last attempt is the last time was I
had worked all day out in the shop and that I had walked out into the
fairway to hit the golf ball's and was very tired and my lower back hurt me
very very much. However this time around I had not done any work out in
the shop and when I got out there to hit the ball(s) I was using my new
Powered Wheeled Chair.

Now I don't think that I really hurt myself, health wise, but up on the
green, about 425 yards away some one putting out yelled at me "YOU MADE ME
MISS MY PUTT ASSHOLE FROM THE GROUND SHAKING SO MUCH.

But again this time around I did not "NEED" Marion to drive out on to the
cart path to get me with her Jeep, NO I JUST NEEDED HER TO HELP ME GET MY
LAZY ASS UP OFF OF THE GROUND AND BACK INTP MY POWERED WHEEL CHAIR.

Well so much for my much antisapated return to the Golf Course

Subject: [n4ostealth] Eye Glasses!

Thanks for the info Bob!
I have a pair of single vision sun glasses that I wear exclusively for
golf and sometimes driving. Works great for me but haven't had my eyes
checked in quite a while. It may very well be what's wrong with hitting the
driver on the heel and struggling with my irons. I also have the variable
lenses in my other glasses and trying to play golf in them is really bad!
Putting is like trying to see a ball through the bottom of a fish bowl! The
slightest move and the ball is suddenly not where I thought it was! Reading
a putt is also terrible with them. Getting my eyes checked is just one of
the many things I have been putting off doing that I really need to take
care of.

Subject: RE: [n4ostealth] PCS Frequency Chart?

Ed J,
I don't have the chart and I doubt you hold any record for lip outs. I just
asked if anyone else had vision problems based on the fact I had an ancient
set of glasses and couldn't hit the stationary ball!!! When I got the new
spec's I was amazed how crappy my sight really was!!

This is what I read and then ordered the Parfocals. As I said, they got wet
the times I tried them and stuck them in the golf bag and forgot about them
and after reading Bill's post I looked and found them and wondered why I had
not tried them again!! I will use them again and let you guys know how they
work!!!

Though wearing your bifocals while playing golf may make you an excellent
scorecard keeper, chances are you don't like what you see: Simply put,
bifocals and golf are a bad fit. Because reading lenses are designed to
focus on a spot about 15 inches away, golfers wearing them typically must
drop their chins to their chests and peer over their bifocals to get a clear
view of the ball.
That's a recipe for swing disasters, says George Pronesti, a Philadelphia-
based ophthalmologist. The chin-to-chest position severely limits a complete
shoulder turn on full swings and can wreak havoc on your putting stroke and
alignment.
Pronesti's solution? He wants the bifocalized golfer to keep the chin up and
the handicap down by donning a pair of clip-on Parfocals. When in the flip-
down position, the lenses negate the bifocal prescription, allowing a clear
view of the ball. Made of scratch-resistant plastic, Pronesti's invention
works with bifocals, trifocals and progressive "no line" lenses. They're
available in three powers, suitable for most bifocal prescriptions. For more
information about the $39.95 item, call 888-727-3622.
