The shafts were designed to work properly with the heavier mass heads and do not have that feeling of flexing during the stroke on mid to long putts, by putting sand down the shaft you are adding total weight to the putter but you are doing nothing for release point to match your own which is what we have accomplished with the WMS and weight kit. Every golfer has different acceleration and release and by finding the correct combination for you, the putter becomes an extension of your stroke thus making short putts automatic if there is no hand manipulation and dialing in the speed for longer putts a breeze. One of the first pros I fit was in Pa. and he sank 10 12 footers in a row, he then asked how is it on long putts and I told him pick one and hit it. He picked a 70 foot putt up two tiers on a quick green and proceeded to put 3 balls within 1 foot of the cup and almost sinking 2 of the 3. His reply was that was good enough for him.
