Mark, the trick is to get one or more family members
addicted to golf too!

I live in a Ottawa, Ontario. Although
this winter was fairly easy in terms of snowfall, the first snow came
in November and the ground finally started to clear in late March.
The last ice melted off my driveway April 5th.
The weather has been unusually warm for April, so
courses have started to open as much as a month earlier than normal.
Several years back I played in a course opener tournament on April 30th,
and there was still snow in a few bunkers! We can only count on
playing golf 6-7 months each year but we have a lot of fanatics who
still manage to get in 100 rounds a year. Ottawa is blessed with 85
courses within 45 minutes of downtown, so it's seldom a problem getting a
tee time. I usually manage only 25 - 30 rounds as I'm also a fishing
nut and the fishing around here is incredible!
Regards,
Ron

The snow has been gone for a couple of weeks, and a

dog track, but I'll be out there on Tuesday hitting it and chasing
it. It's been a long time since
October!
