Rick,

David has hit the nail on the head. Two primary factors in determining your ability to hit a low lofted club off the deck are your swing speed and your angle of attack.

Any ideas on your driver swing speed?

around 95 -99

Can you characterize your swing as hitting down on the ball or sweeping it?

I think I hit down on it but not really sure

Perhaps a more simpilistic answer would be to say if you hit your more lofted irons higher or lower relative to others?

Generally higher

This past Friday I took the 14º Wishon 949MC off the YS-6 and put on a Cleveland 15º Quadpro. Had better results getting the ball in the air. Monday I took the 15º out and put a 17º Quadpro on. Only got to use it twice on the course - par 70 and only had 2 five pars - and got very good results. Did get to hit it a few times off the tee and really liked the trajectory and distance. So of course the answer was higher loft.

Also yesterday, Monday, I put the Wishon 321LI 15º on a old Rapport Cirrus Pro Ultra Lite and took it to a range, matts only, though I did not like the way the club felt - E5 swing weight - it did get up in the air. So of course the answer is that I need softer shafts for lower lofted clubs, drivers excluded.

That was simple

Rick
