Don I have done similar but used fly screen for the "gap" filler let
the epoxy get a little sticky --wrap some accurately cut screen and
don't be afraid to get fingers sticky.WASH QUICK WITH ALC,
90 mph should be no problem I would n't risk for really fast swingers

Can I reshaft an R7 to .335 without using a special
adapter ferrule? I was thinking of using a brass shim
and then a collared .335 ferrule to help center
everything. It looks like it ought to work but that
is counting on the epoxy as a gap filler in the
enlarged portion of the upper hosel bore. The shim
will help hold the shaft out away from touching the
step in the hosel. Maybe I could even use a masking
tape wrap to take up most of the space in the stepped
area.
I'm not opposed to using the right adapter but I don't
have one on hand. I did one without it a year or two
ago but maybe I just got lucky. We are talking 90 MPH
swing speed.
