hi all,
I have installed Shorewall 3.xx.xx on a FC4 server. I have been running this
setup for about 2 years now. This morning i found the server in a stuck
state. It was shutdown due to a power failure and when it was restarted it
stuck on the stage where FC4 starts different services. When it came to
"Starting Shorewall ..." it stucks and aftre a while another message showed
up "Lock: giving up on lock file /var/lib/shorewall/lock" and then IP
Clusterware V6.0 message appears and that's it. It does not go any further.
I tried to remove / install shorewall but no luck. Even i tried to go in to
Runlevel 1 and fix it but no luck! Can anyone help what could be the
possible issue?
Further, answer a few questions:
1. I want to upgrade to available latest release. Any special precaution
need to be taken?
2. Does same config files work with new releases?
