I'm trying to run a Mediatomb upnp media server in my dmz which is on
a separate subnet from my lan, and I thought I should be able to get
things running smoothly by following the guide from this page:
http://www.shorewall.net/UPnP.html

It wasn't entirely clear to me whether I should be treating the dmz as
the external interface or the internal interface -- but I've tried
both and still nothing shows up to any upnp clients running on the lan.

I'm using Debian squeeze with shorewall-perl 4.4.11 and linux-igd 1.0.

Any thoughts of special tweaks I might need to make this work on an
internal-to-internal subnet set up instead of WAN to internal (or vice
versa)?

Thanks,

Seth Green
