I think my largest issue with it is that I'm not sure I understand how 
all the pieces fit together, so I'm hesitant to dive in.
for example: the config gets compiled on one system, but applied on 
another system.  the systems may or may not have the same interfaces, 
and may or may not have the same routes, etc.  Combine that with the use 
of a make file, and I just don't see how it all fits together.  :-S
