Well, the INLINE directive comes with a clear health warning and was set 
from the outset to be a 
very-advanced-and-not-for-the-faint-hearted-or-know-nothing-amateurs 
feature. It is also the reason why I didn't check every single 
conceivable combination/match out there imaginable.

People who use this feature should be well-aware of the above since this 
is made abundantly clear in the description of that feature when the 
release was made, so there should be no surprises or "Oh, look, this 
ain't working" complaints on this mailing list.
