As I said I'm testing uninstall, and would like to understand how uninstall is 
supposed to work.

The simple assumption that if you isntall it in ${EDTDIR}/$PREFIX}, uninstall 
wil uninstall from there is clearly not the case.  At least not when DESTDIR is 
specified.

I gotta say, I love Shorewall to death -- once it's installed.  It's sleek, 
functional and elegant at times.  I kindof miss a pfsense-ish GUI, but, oh well.

But spending orders of magnitude more time thatn it takes to get shorewall 
actually managing a firewall, trying to just manage the installls correctly is 
a monstrous PITA.  All I want is the same, current version of shorewall 
installed on all my platforms.  Doesn't seem like an unreasonable idea.  
Getting it done is a completely different story.
