When I try using %i (device ID, which is what digikam uses) I get the
following error:

/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_4a9_319a_noserial_if0 does not exist.

while the two other choices (%f - mount point for storage devices, and
%d - device node address for block devices) have the same effect as
not having an argument at all.

I tried running

shotwell "file://org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_4a9_319a_noserial_if0"

but that too was as if I had given no argument... is that what is
meant by URL format?
