I had a lot of trouble getting my Radeon video card to work with Lucid
Lynx (which is my first Ubuntu installation), because the card is no
longer supported in this (and presumably later) versions of Ubuntu.

This has made me wary of upgrading, possibly not on a wholly rational
basis, I must admit!

I'll look at upgrading again once I've got all the stuff I need to use
working properly.
