Thanks Adam, I am going to do my best to reproduce what happened - I just made sure all my off line backups are up-to-date! Unfortunately I don't have my friends SD card any more (they took it home), but I am going to soak test the Shotwell importing a little with some other mass storage media. Any suggestions for the best way to capture what's going on? I can take some regular snaps of the FS, but should I be running Shotwell in some verbose logging mode?
