Dear all,
Not that I don't think that would be a great feature, but it seems to be more a feature of backup software than photo management software. So for me personally, there are other things I'd be more excited about. Just my $0.02.

Any way, I agree with you, even if I do all the imports 'manually'. +1

In my opinion the best thing would be to have in the 'Importing'
section of the preferences a 'Filter' box (pretty much the same of the
'custom import' one) with a pattern to match and a destination folder
(or folder structure).
