No, it appears that opimd_fix_db hasn't worked. After running
opimd_fix_db, if I then re-"upgrade" my libphone-ui-shr to a version
that doesn't include the patch that I posted, I find that the messages
app crashes on startup - which suggests that there are still things in
my pim.db that it can't read.
Given that observation, I also can't say if there might have been an
earlier attempt to run opimd_fix_db automatically.
Would you expect opimd_fix_db to fix the specific things that I
mentioned in my patch?
