Why are you enabling the gps at all?

The gps is usually auto-enabled when something tries to use it,
and auto-disabled when nobody is using it.

This saves power when the gps is not in use. Re-using the gps after
a short pause works well too. It starts in 7 seconds or so if the
same satellites are still visible when it restarts.
