Hi,
since it's much easier to use my OpenMoko with a proper keyboard I connected
an external USB one. If I set USB mode to manual (automatic does not work)
and host (in contrast to client) I can use my keyboard. Nevertheless an
English one is assumed and this is wrong.
The package busybox contains loadkmap which may be useful to change the
keymap but where can I find a German map?
I also edited /etc/X11/xorg.conf and added
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Keyboard"
Driver "kbd"
Option "CoreKeyboard"
Option "XbdRules" "xorg"
Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
Option "XkbLayout" "de"
Option "XkbVariant" "nodeadkeys"
EndSection
and
InputDevice "Keyboard"
to section "ServerLayout", but it has no affect :-(
BTW I noticed that /usr/share/X11/xkb/xkbcomp is a symbolic link to
/home/shr/shr-unstable/tmp/staging/x86_64-linux/usr/bin/xkbcomp
which doesn't exist. I suggest to check all links in the system for this
problem.
Jens
