sorry, i don't follow what you're saying. how do i define a different
lock screen?

to be honest, the old lock screen was a pain in the arse also, it was
right across the centre of the screen - what i'd prefer is something
small and unobtrusive, say a small strip across one side, or a square
in one corner, so i know it's locked, but letting me see most of the
screen
