I'm glad too see high interest in OpenSibyl project. Because more questions about
OpenSibyl building I'm try to describe current status.
At the present time no any worked environment. Sources from snapshot/cvs is a base to
develop. I'm working now with them to make more clear and easy.
1) I'll remove any makefile usage because really not required and only problems, no
help.
2) I'll remove any rtl units (and OS/2 api units) because this is part of Free Pascal
development
3) Compiler to use is Free Pascal Compiler 1.0.7 (from development section of
freepascal.org). This is latest compiler of 1.0.x series and contains most required
units.
4) Still absent pmhelp and pmdev units which required to compile forms units (which a
base of any Delphi like environment). I'm working now with pmhelp unit to include in
next FPC 1.0.7 snapshot.
I'll try to finish sources clearing in monday and inform all of you about this.
So, OpenSibyl sources will include SPCC (Sibyl Portible Component Classes aka
SpeedPascal Component Classes) and SVDE (Sibyl Visual Development
Environment). No any API's and RTL's, no makefiles.
Please wait until monday for forms.pas unit which compilable, but not usable yet. And
try after.
