I'm not real good with modems, but a quick fix you might try is to
change your initialization string to AT&F1 (this restores factory
defaults and usually works better than all of the long, fancy, oft
times, conflicting parameters that people dream up)
Like I say, I don't know about the lag time settings and delays etc, but
you might try this and see what happens. It's like chicken
soup......can't hurt.
