FreeBSD?

I am going to try to switch over Faith (my beloved apartment network
server) from RedHat 5.1 to FreeBSD.  Any caveats on FreeBSD that I might
need to be aware of?

Faith doesn't need to do anything except dial up the university, forward
IP packets, and occasionally accept an local SSH login so I can read logs
and whatnot.
