Anybody: I have a project where I need to get some text via a web browswer/java applet from a web server on SCO Unix/Linux and then have that applet send the data from the browser/applet out to a serial port on the PC that is doing the browsing. Here's my questions: 1. Can an applet do this? 2. What would be a good web-site/email forum to join to get answers on this sort of development project (java)? 3.
