I'm a real newbie to Linux and have used a little Unix but never
anything having to deal with dial-up networking. I got the
ppp-bits-for-telesys, read the README moved all the files to /etc/ppp
but am still not having much luck. Thanks to Chris I was able to at
least get my modem working with minicom. But I'm obviously missing
something important somewhere.
What should I do to check to see if pppd is sending the info in the
right direction (to the modem).
