I went to the Desert Books Linux cocktail on Friday evening, and I was
very impressed with them so I thought I'd give a shameless little plug
for those of you who didn't get to go.

They will order any computer book and sell it for about a 30% discount
vs. Barnes & Noble or Borders. Their web page is www.desertbooks.com.
They are trying to fill the computer-book niche that most big bookstores
have ignored. They seem to be more selective in what kind of books they
will stock. i.e. lots of O'Reilly books and few "Learning * in 24 hours"

Plus at their little cocktails they have a nice selection of wines and
cheeses. That may be why I liked the store so much :)

I just thought I'd let everyone on SIGLINUX know about them and
hopefully save some money and/or get better books.

- Paul

Note: I don't work for them. I didn't even know Desert Books existed
until I went.
