what he said is correct...april, what do you want to do with your tape drive?
presumably, backup stuff...so, look for some backup software (there's free
stuff avail, like tar (already present on your system, no doubt), amanda,
taper, afbackup) (also for $ stuff like BRu which i hear is fairly cool).
and now that you know the device name for your tape drive, you should be
all set to go...
