I'm running RH 5.2 on my Compaq Armada (laptop). It runs fine. It seems
quite a bit faster than Winxx.  As far as the BIOS... I think you have
to have a free partition of, say, 6mb in fat-16 format and you can d/l 2
programs that make 2 disks that allow you to recreate that. The other
option is to just keep these 2 disks around as they allow you to boot
into the BIOS and give you full BIOS functionality. Personally, that's
what I do as I *never* go into the BIOS anyways now that everything is
stable.  To find these programs that make the disks, search on the
compaq site for bios and <your computer name> I think.
