It's not an ultra-slim, but I am running a Dell Lattitude CP p233 and it
is a champ. X works perfectly (a huge problem on my last two latops), the
3com pcmcia NIC works great, the Xircom modem is solid, I have no
complaints. It is a fairly light laptop, too. I used top carry an old
Compaq 486, and then a Toshiba Sattellite p166, and both were back
breakers. The Dell is really nice, and you can get them here in town at
the Dell Factory Outlet at a pretty good price (I think this one was $1700
about 8 months ago).
Anyway, just my two cents worth.
