Justin,
 I'm running a Voodoo3 2K AGP with no trouble at all. Are you using the
XFree86 SVGA server? As of 3.3.5 it didn't support the Voodoo3. The 3Dfx
webpage provides links to the Linux Voodoo3/Glide page. RPMs &
instructions are all there.
 If you've done all that, I would suspect another problem, possibly with
monitor settings.
