I'm in the process of building a new system and I
want to make sure that I can run Redhat Linux 6.1 on that system. My problem is
in selecting a graphics card. One potential candidate is the 3dfx Voodoo3 3000.
On examining the XFree site they list the Voodoo3 chipset as being supported,
but under the vendor/card section they don't list 3dfx or any other cards that I
recognize as being Voodoo3. I think I've seen a link (from the 3dfx site) to a
beta version of a Linux driver. Can anyone suggest good and bad experiences with
this card? I don't care about the 3D support (for Linux) but must have good 2D
support.
Thanks.
