Hmm... dunno how much my advice counts (considering the terrible memory of
SSI includes I demonstrated the other day), but I actually installed
glibc-2.1.1 on top of glibc-2.0.7. I think the only things that are
duplicate are some locale files. rpm -ivh is how I did it. Nothing seems
to be broken, but I'm not making any gurantees... BTW, I've got RedHat 5.1
with pretty much everything updated to the latest stuff and quite a bit of
customization.
