every message that ever hits the siglinux list will have the following
line as the first line of its transmission.
>From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Mar 7 14:15:53 2000
this is what you should be filtering on for all mailing lists---the
"From" (not "From:") line.
it works without flaw, or at least has for me for 4 years now.
the message in question had that line in it and was filtered into my
siglinux folder via the following procmail rule:

^[EMAIL PROTECTED]
$HOME/Stuff/lists/sigl

Send administrative requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
