A stable JVM is an oxymoron. My experience is that if you "don't have any
bugs in your code" and your code still fails on 2+ jvm's, it is time to
redesign around whatever is causing the problem even if it shouldn't
according to the java spec/api/etc. (uggh.. anyone know why java's
garbage-collector won't free large arrays even if invoked as
System.gc()???)
