Check freshmeat.net. You can always use The Gimp to
save postscript files as jpgs, gifs, etc., and then import
them into something else. As for slides and overheads, I
highly recommend SliTeX, which is a bunch of LaTeX macros
for making slides for presentations. LaTeX handles postscript
about as well as anyone could want.
