Newbie Warning Newbie Warning
I am trying to get Virtual Network Computing running between a
Mandrake 6.1 box and a Mac (8.6).
Ethernet works (telnet(via Nifty), and ftp(via Fetch))
I have (i think) the VNC deamon running, but when i try to link
(to ip.ad.dr:0, this from the deamon at start-up ), i'm told the port is
closed "for security" reasons. As a default, this is surely a GoodThing,
but i'm still to ignorant to know how to open it.
Security is not a concern, at this point, as the machine isn't
connected to *anything* but the mac. (I know, i know, gotta learn, but not
now). This machine is training wheels for me.
RTFM is perfectly good advice, but which FM?
